This series starts on 31st August 1997 on BBC 1. It will be on at 7:45pm BST every Sunday for 6 weeks. 50 Minutes. Based on Hawking's book, A Brief History of Time, this series looks into all of the mysteries of the cosmos, including ufo's and extra-terrestrial life. It also includes parallel universes, black holes, the big bang theory, and how the universe might end in the 'big crunch'. A book Stephen Hawking's Universe will be published by BBC books on 19th September 1997, at the cost of £19.99.
