1st JULY 2000 Introduction
By request from Les Hamilton, here is the
next contest :-
It's the 55 degree NOAA 12 pass on Saturday, July 1, 18:01 BST (17:01
UT).
This is close to mid-summer, so will be well illuminated, and should be
accessible throughout the UK.
General rules are :-
Points
0-15 for the maximum length of image
0-15 for the middle noise free continuous part of the image
0-10 for general image quality
Only the visible section shown in black and white, or color
composite/MultiSpectral.
Images should be in .jpg format no more than 500K.
Images should be sent as a single attachment, with the details below in the
same e-mail as the attachment.
Images should be sent to JulyContest@Time-step.com
no other place !
I judge on the whole file, not the 150K on the web site.
I need your full name.
I need your location and country.
A brief description of the equipment, antenna, preamplifier, cable,
receiver.
A contrast stretch will gain more points that a "flat" image.
Any personal questions on a separate e-mail please.
The first image sent or in the attachment list, will be used.
Images will be accepted up to 96 hours (4 days) from the reception time.
Similar passes on the same day, from other countries, will be
accepted.
