All of the courses are at Thetford Forest, most starting from Mayday Farm on Fire Route 10 off the A1106 3 miles from the A11 at Elvedon. We’d advise you not to park on the side of the road. 'Safe' free parking can be found a further mile up the road on the left at Brandon Country Park, just as you come into Brandon. To get to Mayday, ride out of the access road, cross the main road straight onto singletrack. Follow this as it turns right onto firetrack, keep going until it meets a larger firetrack (you may have to negotiate a fallen tree), where turn right to go downhill. At the cross tracks go straight on up the hill and turn left at the top. This will bring you to the start arena. Alternatively, drive past the 'Park and take the first right in Brandon towards Thetford. At the T junction, turn right and then right again after 1km into the High Lodge Visitors Centre. There is a Ł2 parking fee. High Lodge is marked on the maps and the visitors centre sells Forestry Enterprise maps if you wish to explore elsewhere.

If you do go, bike spares can be purchased at either Brandon Country Park (courtesy of JT Cycles) or at the High Lodge Visitors Centre bike hire shop.

These can be freely downloaded but we hold no responsibility or liability whatsoever of their accuracy, technicality (they all include bomb-holes and the 'Beast of the East'), accessibility or rights of way. Thetford Forest is a working forest and recent felling operations have resulted in some routes being blocked, plus occasionally deer and rabbit culling is undertaken with rifles! Therefore, please obey any diversions signs that may be in place - a trip up to the High Lodge Visitors Centre is worthwhile for the Forestry Commission's maps and updates. The area is popular with walkers, horesriders, young families, and the occasional (illegal) motorbikes so take care. Many of the singletracks are ridden in either direction so please shout out a friendly call on the twisty bits.

Singlespeed Championships 2003 - almost as above but a bit shorter (9 miles) to suit those with less gears!
