Arnside Tower

Arnside Tower is the oldest building in the parish of Arnside. It is a fortified building known as a Pele Tower.  

Pele Towers are peculiar to the Border region between England and Scotland and were built as a defence against raids. Most of these towers were built in the 14th and 15th centuries.
