Every Thursday between 10-12 we hold a free coffee or tea morning for the over fifties why not come along even if only to get yourself out of your four walls, and meet other people and have a chat.
Every month starting in September we are holding a Boot Sale outside the Resource Centre, it will take place on the THIRD SATURDAY and start at 8.30am to 12.30. The cost of a pitch is Ł3.50, sorry no traders or vans. This will help us with much needed funds and bring people to the shop area. Every Third Thursday of the month sees a surgery for Council Tax and Housing Benefit Queries. An officer from Liberata will be here and will give you the correct advice. Your local North Somerset councillors will be at the Centre every first Wednesday of the month from 10am to 12 noon. If you wish to see them, please ring for an appointment, or just call in. PC Adam Hingston our beat manager will also be available to met with you, watch the window to see details of which day and time. We are currently looking for a few more volunteers to help us run the Centre if you feel that you would like to help then call in and see us, any help is always well received. We want your ideas as to any areas you would like covered by us and we will see if we can meet your needs.

September sees Energy Efficiency Month and to coincide with this the Resource Centre will hold a meeting and display on Friday the 26th of September 2003, 2pm to 4pm.. Advisors from the Council will be on hand to offer advice on how to save gas, electric, and heating in your home. Further they will be able to help you find Grants and other information to save you money with bills. Leaflets and other information are already available at the Resource Centre so why not pop in and pick some up?

North Somerset Councillors Sally Tabrett, Colin Golland, and Andy Wright, will be on hand at the Centre to answer any questions or queries that you may have. They will be here between 10am and 12 noon every 1st Wednesday of each month.

A representative from Liberata will hold surgeries at the Resource Centre every second Thursday of each month between 2pm and 3pm. Appointments may be made or you can just call in. Housing and Benefit forms are available from the Resource Centre, along with help if you need it to fill them in. We also offer photocopying of relevant documents free of charge to help you.
