| Lighting |
|
After the positive
response following the installation of the extra garden light and the spot lamp
illuminating the Ravensroost sign on the bridge, we have decided to install more lighting
around the development. There are plans to light the entrance to the driveway and
the short footpath from the road to the driveway. The emergency vehicle access
between the two buildings will shortly benefit from appropriate lighting. Lighting
for the visitors' car parking area is also under consideration. |
| Security |
|
There have been
breaches of security in the past principally because access to the garden has been
comparatively easy from the stairwell at the end elevation of the large block. A
locking wrought iron gate is being fitted to the stairs leading down to the garden and
this will prevent people from accessing the garden by this route. It will be far
more public for an intruder to enter the garden between the two buildings where the
lighting is good and visibility is high. Please bear in mind that Ravensroost is a
member of Neighbourhood Watch so please help by being vigilant and either calling the
Police or contacting your nearest Board member. |
| Irrigation |
|
A sprinkler system
will be installed in the gardens next year to ensure that all of the flowerbeds receive an
adequate water supply during the Summer months. |
| Panels |
|
There have been many
concerns from residents regarding the panels beneath the windows both front and rear.
While it is true that these panels have been causing problems with leaks lately,
after investigation it has been found that the panels are in fact mostly in very good
condition. It is the old original sealing mastic that has broken down over the years that
has been letting in the water. These panels will be removed, painted and reinstalled
using the latest sealing materials on an ongoing basis. Please let us know if you
are experiencing leaks in these areas (or anywhere else!) and we will prioritise the
necessary work. |
