A set of records detailing mining accidents that have occurred in the UK was launched in the ‘Miscellaneous’ section of the www.rayment.info website this morning. |

Although containing only a small number of records at the outset, it is hoped to build this into a significant resource in the future. Consequently, if anyone has knowledge of a mining accident in which someone surnamed Rayment (or a similar name) was injured but is not listed in the index, the Society would very much like to hear from them in order to initiate further investigation of the incident. |
