Text From Back cover:
On Sunday the 26th of May 1964, The Beatles topped
the bill at the New Musical Express 1963-64.
They performed 'She Loves You', 'You Can't Do That', 'Twist And Shout', 'Long Tall Sally'
and 'Can't Buy Me Love' to a packed out audience of over 10,000 screaming fans. The event
was
taped by ABC Television and screened on the 10th of May as, "Big Beat '64".
The following year The Beatles also appeared at the Empire Pool In Wembley along with
other
acts such as The Kinks, and The Rolling Stones. The Beatles performed five songs, 'I Feel
Fine',
'She's A Woman', 'Baby's In Black', 'Ticket To Ride' and 'Long Tall Sally'. Again ABC
Television
recorded the event on April 11, 1965, to be screened on the 18th of that month.
The final live British performance The Beatles ever gave was at the fourth annual New
Musical
Express show on the 1st of May 1966, unfortunatly the cameras were switched off during
this
performance due to contractual disagreements at the time. As The Beatles received their
poll
awards, the cameras were switched on, and the remaining footage Is presented here.
