Notes From Rear Cover:
This Video CD brings together a collection of TV
footage from 1963, Firstly a BBC-TV production called
"The Mersey Sound" which contained footage and performances from The Beatles and
other groups. The film
was actualy shot over four days In August, but 1st transmission of the program wasn't
aired until
October 9, 1963. The Beatles perform numbers such as "Twist & Shout",
"She Loves You" & "Love Me Do",
plus Interviews from all four lads.
The second clip are The Beatles performing "Money (That's What I Want)" on a
rare episode of "Thank
Your Lucky Stars" recorded at the Alpha Television Studios In Birmingham on the 20th
of October, 1963.
This TV show at the time gave viewers an exclusive glimpse of what was to appear on their
forthcoming
album, "With The Beatles" not released until November 22, 1963. This song along
with "All My Loving"
and "She Loves You" were originally mimed to that day.
As a bonus feature, we have also Included a collection of rare 8mm home movies, comprising
rare footage
from the early part of 1964, this Includes The Beatles live at the Paris Olympia, January
1964, live In
Washington U.S.A (alternate shots) January 1964, plus various clips of their plane
departure and arrivals
