(CD-ROM 1999 DON'T FORGET RECORDS)

Great Let It Be rehearsals from 1969, featuring all 200 tracks from the 8CD box set
from Vigotone, released in 1994.
This disc has been programmed in HTML and all tracks and covers can be viewed
through your web browser.

Notes from CD-ROM:

A lot of effort has been put into the preparation of this CD-ROM.
8 audio CDs had to be made fit on just one CD-ROM, including
complete documentation and players.

All the CDs have been extracted digitally onto harddisk.
In a second step, an encoder was used to convert the digital stereo
data from the CD into MP3 files. (this has a compression ratio of approx
12:1 with little or no loss in the "CD quality".

When you compare the compressed files to the original CDs, you will find them
to be totally equal in sound quality (assuming you have a good soundcard).

Of course the these sessions were rehearsals so the sound quality basically
varies from good to excellent.
