Alternate Take Lennon 7:58 "early studio live take, John Solo" This one beats the official version by far. 12. Subterranean Homesick Blues Ad-Lib Dylan 3:13 "coverversion of the Dylan classic, arranged by John, Ringo on drums" 13. The One After 909 Get Back Session Lennon/McCartney 3:01 "completely different version from 1969" They seem to have a real good time (they laugh while playing). 14. Get Back Get Back Session Lennon/McCartney 2:17 Jan 1969 "rare version sung in German and French" Not so rare version in fact (many many times bootlegged). German can be heard clearly (even though they make mistakes) but I don't hear a single word of French here. 15. Strawberry Fields Forever Alternate Version Lennon/McCartney 3:13 "different, sleepy a-capella-version" 22. Dig It Alternate Version Lennon/McCartney/Harrison/Starkey 4:18 "Longer, faster and more rhythmic version" This is an edit of the 7-8 minutes long version. 23. Let It Be Alternate Version Lennon/McCartney 4:00 "early version in a gospel-mood" 24. Her Majesty Alternate Version Lennon/McCartney 2:12 A SURPRISE ! NOT IN BOOKLET. Paul repeats lyrics 4-5 times (sometimes in a different order) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reviews This CD features many songs already bootlegged elsewhere or songs that are not that different from the CV. THE BUS is a piece of unstructured music sounding a bit like some tunes on some versions of STRAWBERRY FIELDS. STRAWBERRY FIELDS is take 1 and is beautiful as always. This is my preferred version. Found on many boots and Antholgy 2 JEALOUS GUY is deceiving because it sounds very much like the CV and was probably recorded after the Beatles breakup. MUCHO MONGO/MNT ELGAR was for a 1974 Nilsson Album. I doubt that this version dates from 1969. The songs sounds like a Salsa style song. I think it's forgetable even though I do not regret to own that song. MANY RIVER TO CROSS sounds very like #9 DREAM !! I like it because John voice is different. HOW DO YOU SLEEP is one of these lenghty outtakes John recorded with George. Different from the CV. SUBTERREAN HOMESICK BLUES is the cover of this excellent Dylan song. This version is more rock n roll than Dylan's. THE WALK is boring as Paul repeats always the same lyrics. DON'T LET ME DOWN is just slower but sounds very like the CV (some lyrics different though). SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME is another Get Back session outtake and souds like these. It is very short. DIG IT is an edit of the super length version. Already bootlegged on Ultra Rare Trax 6 LET IT BE has no harmonium. The guitar solo is also different. HER MAJESTY is the good surprise of this disc. This version seems to be never bootlegged before. Too bad the rest of the CD is not like this surprise. Final Review: This CD has too many already bootlegged songs. On the other hand, the other songs are rather rare but there are only 4: MUCHO MONGO, MANY RIVERS TO CROSS, SUBTERREAN HOMESICK BLUES and HER MAJESTY. Buy it only if you're a beginner collector.
