(CD 1997 MIDNIGHT BEAT MB CD 113)

Another Brilliant Release From Midnight Beat,
Which Concentrates On The Year 1968.
The Disc Begins With Take 1 Of Hey Jude, Recorded At Trident Studios Which Introduced
8-Track Recording Facillities For The First Time At A Beatles Recording Session.
The Second Track Is A Mono Mix Of Dear
Prudence Which Is Basicly The Same As The Released Version Except For The End Which
Has A Diffrerent Bass Line & Captures A Few Seconds Of Studio Banter. The Rest Of The
CD Is Basicly Numerous Takes Of Blackbird (13 In Fact) But Not From The Original Recording
Sessions But From The Soundtrack Of An Apple Film Believed To Have Been Recorded Prior
To The EMI Sessions, This Is Quite Interesing To Listen To As These Recordings Make Their
First Appearence Here, Only A Few Minutes Of The Sessions Have Actualy Been Bootleged
Before
& That Was On Yellow Dog's Ultimate Collection Set In 1995. Quite An Essentual Disc
For Collectors. 8/10
