The AD&D Archives

The following documents represent an assortment of text files (now converted into Word format), representing documents typed up by me over a period of about a decade of playing Dungeons & Dragons.  They form a sizeable collection of rules expansions, including five new character classes.  Most of this material predates the publication of the 2nd Edition rules, but has now been modified and should be compatible with them.  Of course, none of this material is "official", and referees should feel free to adopt anything they like, reject anything they don't like, and alter anything to suit their own campaigns.  And, if there's ever a 3rd Edition, you might see some of this in print... who knows?

The Artificer - want a magic item with your name on it?  Make your own. (21KB)

The Pagan - how to get close to nature without having to be a priest. (15KB)

The Philosopher - open your mind without the aid of illegal substances. (97KB)

The Witch - don't cross the Sisterhood if you want to stay healthy. (160KB)

The Loresmith - heavily into rock and metal (not very musical, though). (70KB)

Armour and Weapons - changes to the AD&D combat system. (20KB)

Fighter Modifications - More changes to combat and the role of the Fighter. (13KB)

Proficiencies - including many new combat skills to learn, for Fighters and others. (21KB)

Classes - new rules for multi-classing, and a new Special Abilities system. (17KB)

RS_mods.zip - all of the above, in a single compressed file for easy downloading. (110KB)

Note: some browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer 4) have a tendency to immediately open Word documents for viewing within the browser, rather than giving you the option of downloading the file to disk.  If this happens to you, the document can be retrieved from your Temporary Internet Files folder if you wish to keep it.
