When a bunny leaves us to start a new life in a new home - this isn't
usually the 'end' for us. We like to stay in touch with our bunnies and
their new families, hear how they are settling and progressing, what they're
getting up to and see photos. Whenever possible, we like to visit to
maintain contact both with the bunnies and their families and over the last +30
years, many of our bunny adopters have become good friends.
This continued contact works in two ways - we know we've chosen the best
homes possible for our surplus babies and their owners know that we still care -
and that we're only an email or telephone call away should there be any queries
later on in their bunnies' lives.
We are not 'typical breeders' who breed for the sake of it, flog lots of
babies to anyone who ask, nor do we supply the pet trade - we breed only to
maintain our lines, keeping most of our girls and offer our boys
for adoption. We carefully select homes and provide ongoing
contact and support - and this, we feel, is how any surplus babies whom we've
brought into the world, should be homed to ensure they enjoy the best lives
possible. A lot of time, care, fuss,
love and attention is invested in each individual baby and it's always hard to
part with them, but knowing those who leave us move into some of the best homes
available makes that painful parting just a little easier....
