A most unexpected addition, six months later, loco no. 2 is a Roundhouse ‘Russell’, which has brought a whole new dimension to the operation of the line.

An even more unexpected addition, in July 2007, was loco no. 3. My wife presented me with Roundhouse ‘Linda’, for our tenth wedding anniversary. A water gauge and boiler fill facility have enhanced operation further, though the extra demands that this brings were a little taxing to begin with. Linda is seen here approaching QFR with a goods train not long after her arrival. As with all loco’s she now has glazed spectacle plates, wooden footplate floor and other added details.
