Dear parents and readers,

If you are a believer and would like your children to believe, then why not read them a portion of the bible every night before they go to bed. I have got an assortment of different stories from the book of Genesis containing a story from the bible with my own comments.

I found it necessary and useful to have the bible read to me as a child. My aunt used to read it to me and I loved the old tales in the bible. They are as exciting as any other children’s stories, but they are obviously more than that, as they draw one close to the creator.

Genesis is actually a book made up of different stories in a chronological sequence starting with creation. They are exciting for children and if you too are a believer than remember, we are all God’s children.

I hope you will like my personal touch and the simple text. If you have a problem with a word then a simple cheap “Collins Pocket English Dictionary” is all you need. I recommend the “Collins” as it is updated regularly and it served me well all my life, even through my university education.

When you finish the story you could teach your child to pray to God. Here is an example prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for all that you given me and the wonderful stories.

Let you kingdom come and

Let me forgive my fellow man as you have forgiven me.

Amen (meaning “So let it be.”)
