ACCESS (AGE CONCERN CONFUSED ELDERS SUPPORT SERVICE)
Works with other agencies to help people who are elderly and confused to remain at home. They cover a wide area and anyone is welcome to contact them directly for help or advice:

CARE BREAKS
A limited fund exists to relieve full-time carers by providing short term care for people of working age with physical and/or sensory disabilities. If you normally live at home and receive the higher rate care component of the Disability Living Allowance, you should be eligible. Ring the
NHS Independent Living Service nearest to your home.

CROSSROADS LTD
Can arrange for trained care assistants to come and look after a person who is frail, ill or disabled within their own home, for a few hours, daytime or evening. This enables the carer to have some time off for necessary shopping, appointments or social/leisure activities.

DOMESTIC & PERSONAL CARE SERVIVES
Are available to enable people to stay in their homes by helping with tasks such as washing, dressing, food preparation, housework etc. These can be provided through Social Services. Depending on your circumstances there may be a charge. Services can be purchased directly from independent providers.
