Sean was born in Cleveland, Ohio, but raised in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Mercersburg Academy, Mercersberg, PA in 1985 and then attended Boston University for two years before transferring to UCLA. He graduated from UCLA with a BA in Political Science.
Encouraged by his parents, Sean took up karate and kick-boxing at the age of 13. Whilst at undergraduate at UCLA, Sean answered an open call for director John Avildsen’s feature film “The Karate Kid Part III” and landed the co-starring role opposite Ralph Macchio. Other film credits include “Rich Girl” (1990), “The Case of the Maligned Mobster” (1991) and “The Case of the Killer Kiss” (1993). More recently, Sean has appeared in “The Chaos Factor” (1999) and “Chump Change” (1999). “Christmas with JD”, a film produced by Sean from his original screenplay, is due for release in 2000. Sean’s numerous TV credits include “Wild Palms”, “Dead at 21”, “The Nanny” and “V.I.P.” He played AJ Quartermaine on General Hospital from 1993 to 1997 and Jude Cavanaugh in Sunset Beach in 1999. Sean has also won critical acclaim for his theatre work and amongst other things has produced and co-starred in a Los Angeles production of Sam Shepard’s “True West”. More recently, Sean has formed a film production company with producer Jessica Hammerschlag. The company’s first project will be a movie called “March”, in which Sean (who also wrote the screenplay) will co-star with Rena Sofer. As from 1st November 2000 Sean will star in popular daytime show “The Bold and The Beautiful”. Sean lives in Los Angeles and his spare time activities include honing his martial arts skills, travelling and writing poetry and screenplays. |
