As you can see elsewhere we have managed to raise £134,000 in grants towards adapting the building for the after schools club and refugee kitchen, and with our own fundraising and sacrificial giving have added another £39,000 . Using the reserves and a loan of £10,000 we have managed to get the shell of the building complete enough to open the after schools club, but escalating building costs have left us unable to fit out the building with important items for the children's work and refugee work.
Above all we really need a Dishwasher for the catering for the after schools club, the meals made for refugees by the philadelphia church and the day nursery which is planned for later this year. This needs to be a commercial model with a short cycle time (a few minutes). Domestic models that take 70 minutes to cycle would not be any good at the end of a very busy day for the staff and volunteers.
A Wall kettle would also be very useful to avoid having three or four kettles going on the work surface,
And, perhaps the most expensive request, a video projector of at least 2000 lumens to show DVDs and Videos in 'big screen' for the kids.
