30/03/2002 Thanks to Bolaji for pointing out pc-mobile.net who can supply various cables for the Clie N & T series including modem, sync and charge, battery extender and serial cables. Looks like you are ordering from the US but apparently delivery is fast.
30/03/2002 The Hi-res page has been heavily updated, mainly thanks to James Naron who has sent in countless programs for inclusion. There are now 56 programs listed- just click the link at the top of the page and keep them coming!
30/03/2002 This is fun! It's called The Vault 1.0 and you have to unlock the combination by spinning the gears around; there are several locks from different manufacturers and they will even pay you to hack their machinery. Available at BeeLogic.

30/03/2002 Joel Suplido has sent me a copy of a freeware calendar he has made for the Pendragon Calendar program- "It shows images of the Clie from the S500 all the way to the NR series." It's available at Clie Source.
30/03/2002 Here's a strange piece of news. I have been reading the book 'Piloting Palm' and have found this page which gives detailed specs of the machine that started it all- the Zoomer. Anyone know where I can get one?

29/03/2002 This weeks competition is slightly different- it's to design a new logo for Jason Goldman. He has been very generous with prizes for Clie World and deserves some payback. The initial prize is a copy of 300 Bowl but there will be some extra goodies for the winner. You can see his site here and it's worth bearing in mind that it needs to 'fit in' with the overall design. Closing date: 6th April.

29/03/2002 Thanks to George for letting me know that Amazon now have the NR70 and NR70V listed for $499 and $599 respectively. What's the betting that we in the UK will pay £499 and £599.
29/03/2002 Larry has sent in details of a program called Crash which allows you to reset your Palm Powered device without using a paper clip (excellent). You can also make your own pictures to display when it crashes. Larry has made the one above. I personally like the one below (wonder why?) which is available at the Crash web site.

28/03/2002 pdatnutsandbolts.com have sent up a petition regarding the ethics and practices of certain software vendors- well worth adding your name to this list as the software is what ultimately make the Palm powered devices so useful.
28/03/2002 Larry Miller has received the following reply regarding availability of the new Pockettop wireless keyboard- "Thank you for your interest in Pocketop. The product will be available for purchase at selected CompUSA, Staples and Circuit City stores in the US in about 2 weeks. It will be available through our web site in about 4 weeks. We do not have extensive information available regarding shipping costs, however, you can check back when our E-store is open. It will be selling for $119.00 with a $20 rebate, making the final cost $99.00 US. It will be compatible with both your CLIE and your Palm IIIxe. I believe you will find the software to be extremely keyboard-centric - that is, you will use your stylus very rarely." Wonder if it will come to the UK?

26/03/2002 Pocketopinc.com will soon be releasing the world's first wireless PDA keyboard. These are the main features- "Sleek light compact, full-size keyboard functionality, wireless, no docking station or hardware connectors, works with most PDAs Simple and durable one fold design, unique rotational software" If it works well could be a good solution for the Clie.

26/03/2002 Jason Goldman has released a Freeware game for Easter. It's called Easter Eggs 2002 1.4 "Match all the eggs on the screen to the same color - tapping on an egg changes its color, and its neighbors. Ten levels of difficulty will keep you challenged for a VERY long time. Enjoy!" Available here.

26/03/2002 Tapliner 1.2 is now available- it's an internet browser which maintains every feature of the Web page unchanged and has too many other features to list! It Clie hi-res compatible and available for $23.00 from here.

25/03/2002 Spotted a thread at Clie Source showing pictures of the above case. Looks lovely but I'm not sure how many of us would own 8 memory sticks, a GPS module and the Memory Stick camera! Here's the thread.

25/03/2002 There is an interesting AvantGo channel available now called Sony Europe- Clie Plaza. It includes interviews with Mr T Sogabe (Clie designer), Mr T Shimada (in charge of the Clie audio player) and Mr T Tokuro (Clie Product manager)- it's rarely updated but is worth a one time read.

It looks very good (even in lo-res) and is described as follows- "Contacts 3.1 is a snap to use, and gone is all the tap, tap, tapping to access certain features - with integrated InstantTap, you can be in the process of adding or viewing a contact and instantly beam your business card, delete a record, beam a selected record, edit the current security options, edit the Contacts settings, and much, much more, all in one single tap!"
