26/05/2002 Thanks to Edwin for sending in the following reponse received from Pocketop re availabilty of their infra-red keyboard- "The product is available for purchase at select retail stores in the US this week. So far, it has been shipped to CompUSA, Circuit City and Radio Shack. It will be available through our web site on July 1. We do not have extensive information available regarding shipping costs and import duties, however, you can check back when our E-store is open. It will be selling for $119.00 US." So, looks like we will have to order (unless I can get some in the Clie World Store).

25/05/2002 Thanks to Christian for pointing out an article at PalmInfocenter detailing the possible release of a new Clie in Japan this weekend. It's called the T650c and will include an MP3/ATRAC3 player and a 66Mhz SuperVZ processor but strangely no virtual graffiti. It's form will be the same as the current T series range but the screen will have better colour definition. more details

25/05/2002 Issue 2 of the CLIEWorld Magazine is currently under development and is proceeding a LOT quicker than I expected. One new section will be related to the interviews section of Clie World- if there is a question that I have not asked one of the site's interviewees so far that you would like answering send it to me and I will ask them. All answers will be printed in Issue 2. Also, if you want to contribute in any way drop me an email.

25/05/2002 I tried this new game today- it's called Switch 1.0 and is pretty good fun. Switch is a challenging and addictive board / combination game. Don't be fooled by a deceptively simple first impression. Switch is more advanced than you can imagine! It is the perfect game for those needing to burn their brains. more details

23/05/2002 I received 2 Stowaway Keyboards today from Chris V for sale through the Clie World Store- I couldn't resist and opened one out of curiosity. It took me 3 minutes to install and hotsync the driver (sad I know but I timed it) and I was typing away straight away. I will be doing a mini-review very soon but can thoroughly recommend this product- if you want the other one (will be sent for next day delivery within the UK) just get in touch- current price is £78 inc postage.

22/05/2002 I have been trying a program called PicoZip over the past couple of days- it's described as follows: an easy to use file compression utility that runs on all 32-bit Windows platforms such as Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000 and XP. It is extremely easy to use, yet contains many advanced features that helps you create or unzip ZIP files, as well as most other popular archive formats like RAR, ACE, LHA, JAR, etc. The reason I have been trying it is because Christopher Tan has offered a LOT of copies as competition prizes on Clie World. I would suggest you download it and have a quick play- you will feel at home if you have used WinZip except for the fact that PicoZip is faster and has a much cleaner interface. more details

22/05/2002 I have also been playing with a program called upIRC which is a fully RFC-compliant client for Internet Relay Chat (IRC) servers. It's rather good and I have managed to pursuade it's author, Brian Smith, to do an interview for Clie World which will be published tomorrow.
