Such a study results in a massive database of Births, Deaths, Marriages,

These databases/collections are the work of private individuals,
many of whom are willing to exchange details with others researching
the same names.

Family History Society Members Interests
If your ancestors were born and lived most of their lives
in a particular County, then consulting a Family History Society for that
area, may provide you with details of all member's surname interests.
Some societies have produced these interests on CD Rom or in booklet form
and update them on an annual basis. Enter name of County in any Search
