KENT PAIRS KNOCKOUT CHAMPIONSHIPS RULES

 

1.

Clubs may enter as many pairs as they wish. Entry is open to all NFSA affiliated clubs & P.M. within the Divisional region.
Entry Fee is £10 per pair. All entry fees to be paid before clubs are entered into the draw. Each pair must supply a contact phone no, preferably two phone nos.
Once an angler has fished for a club or pair he or she cannot fish for another within that year. Reserves are allowed, but they too must not have fished for another club or team. Clubs must notify the Division of the FOUR venues they intend to use for home matches.
The competition is strictly KNOCKOUT on total weight.

The 1st ROUND DRAW WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE DIVISIONAL MEETING IN APRIL.
Where possible byes will only introduced into the first round draw, but may be used if required later. All draws to be made by Divisional Officers. The FIRST pair out of the hat are the HOME TEAM and must host the round. They are responsible for selection of the venue, fishing times, supplying scales and contacting the opposing team. THE HOME TEAM TO ARRANGE / AGREE FISHING DATES / VENUES. THE HOME TEAM MUST ALSO NOTIFY THE LEAGUE SECRETARY OF THE DATE / VENUE.

All Clubs and pairs to supply contact names and telephone numbers to the League Secretary who can be contacted on 01304 373104

3.

The Home pair are to supply the opposing team with THREE match dates, at least a day between each TWO of which must be a weekday ONE at a weekend . These must consist of two venues. Matches must be of THREE hour duration minimum and must be within social hours( after 11pm is not considered suitable in midweek). Pairs can agree to fish anytime as long as all parties agree. Please avoid major matches being held on Sundays. All results to be sent to the League Secretary A.S.A.P. The FINAL venue to be decided by the committee.

Teams are required to hold events on venues with suitable fishing for the season. Drawn matches where nothing is caught should be referred to the Monthly Delegates meeting where they may be awarded to the away team. In all other cases of a draw the home venue then reverts to the other team. Teams failing to turn up are disqualified. In the case of a dispute matches should be fished and then the result and the dispute referred to the Division.

All rounds to be rovers or pegged at teams discretion and agreement. Anglers must fish within hailing distance of each other. If fishing a pier end or similar hot spot pairs must fish alternate or draw for places.

 

6.

All rounds to be fished to NFSA Divisional competition rules and size limits in NFSA diary. Aggregate weight ties to be decided by the greatest number of fish. Fish foul hooked by accident count. Fish hooked by two competitors, or on lost traces do not count. Mackerel, Weevers, Sea Trout and Shad do not count.

 

7.

Prizes or Trophies awarded at the discretion of the Divisional Committee for winners and runners up.

 

8.

Competitors are reminded that the Kent Pairs Knock Out has been running for many years and is intended as an inter club event to foster ANGLING FELLOWSHIP.

 

PLEASE FISH IN A FRIENDLY AND SAFE MANNER. ANY FORM OF GAMESMANSHIP OR CHEATING WILL BE SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINARY ACTION BY THE DIVISIONAL COMMITTEE.
