MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:-

MATTERS ARISING:-

Millennium Beach Clean was a success with several S.E.Division clubs taking part.

CHAIRMAN`S REPORT:-

P.M. and Affiliated Clubs match being fished on Sunday 14th May 9am - 3pm. I will be unable to attend. J.Barrett, J.Rogers & J.Gardner will attend and steward.

PRESIDENT`S REPORT:-

N.F.S.A. AGM is being held at Poole on Saturday, J.Barrett and J.Padmore will be attending.
An N.F.S.A. Ladies Trophy has been returned to J.Barrett after being missing for several years.

TREASURER`S REPORT:-

Nett Balance less competition accounts £1018.46p Pro. N.Clarke. Sec. D.Simpson.

SECRETARY`S REPORT:-

1) Standing Committee minutes received. Resume attached.

2) Press Release announcing the England Junior Shore Team Congratulations to all who were selected especially Hayden Whiteford from Romney Marsh and Tom Wells from Deal.

3) A Booklet from the Home Office called " Caring for young people and the Vulnerable" which is a guide for preventing abuse of trust.

4) Whitstable and District A.S. Open Beach Competition being held on Sunday 4th June 2000 11am - 4pm £10 entry £5 optional pools Contact No. 01227 262920 for more information.

LEAGUE SECRETARY`S REPORT:-

There are 11 teams entered into the 3 Man Summer League the first match is on April 29th .

1st Round Draw of the Kent Pairs Knockout

DATE AND TIME TO BE ARRANGED WITHIN TEN DAYS OF BEING NOTIFIED AND TO BE FISHED BY JUNE 6TH 2000 AND RESULTS TO THE LEAGUE SECRETARY FOR NEXT ROUND DRAW ON JUNE 7th.

A.O.B.:-

1) The key to Dungeness may now be obtained for the Summer Months by contacting the Environment Agency Officer Owen Leyshon on 0370 670316 .

2) The Final to 1999 pairs Knock out is to be fished by June 7th if not done so the committee will make a decision on the outcome.

3) Folkestone Pier is closed at present due to a problem with the insurers.

4) European and All England. If anyone is interested a public meeting is to be held with the intention of reforming.

5) A.Chandler would like to know if the scheme for buying weighing scales through the N.F.S.A. was still available. At present the N.F.S.A. is unable to get a grant.
