Minutes of meeting held at Whitstable D.A.S. on Wednesday 7th June 2000.

MATTERS ARISING:

Thank you to Steve Allmark and to all those who helped at the recent Personal Members and Affiliated Clubs Competition on Samphire Hoe. The competition was a great success.

CHAIRMANS REPORT:

The Festival of Sport held between Dover and Calais was fished Catch and Release on Samphire Hoe with Dover being the winners. A large Barbecue was held during the match making the day a great success.

PRESIDENTS REPORT:

SE Divisional boat festival was held on Sunday 29th May

SECRETARYS REPORT:

1) Seminar for Governing Bodies of Sport. J.Barrett to attend.

2) N.E.S.A. Press Release concerning Coastline Publications failing to honour its agreement with the N.F.S.A. to produce the Sea Angling Guide.

3) Letter from Nayland Boat S.A.S.. concerning fish left on the beach after a 3- man league match.

LEAGUE SECRETARYS REPORT:

Some teams have failed to arrange dates to fish the first round of the pairs Knockout. The rules state that the Home Team must contact the away team within TEN days of being notified of the draw to arrange/agree fishing dates / venues. The Home pair are to supply the opposing team with Three dates at least a day between each one of which must be a weekday. These must consist of Two venues. Those Teams which have failed to follow the rules must forfeit their match and the opposite pair to go through to the next round. The teams at fault will have the right to appeal in writing to the Divisional Secretary by June 26th and their appeal will be heard by the Divisional Committee on July 20th. The next round draw of the Knockout will take place and those teams affected will be notified of the delay until any appeals are received.

It has been brought to the attention of the Division that Specimen sizes are in Imperial Weights and as most Clubs fish to metric weights sometimes it is not always possible to convert exactly from Imperial to metric.
