Minutes of Meeting held at R.M.A. Deal on Wednesday 23rd August 2000

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:-

MATTERS ARISING:-

1) J.Barrett attended the funeral of Mr. J.Bennett-Blowes on behalf of the Division.

2) The Divisions Web Site is now online and can be seen at www.nfsase.co.uk

3) A Fixture Meeting is being held on Monday 9th October 2000 at Dover S.A.A. Would all clubs please send their 2001 competition dates to the Divisional Secretary so they may be included or if anyone would like to attend they are very welcome to do so

CHAIRMAN'S REPORT:-

The Angling Times are now including an 8 page section on Sea Angling in their weekly paper. A new record for a conger eel for Folkestone Pier was made by Deal Angler Andy Wall he caught a 50lb conger fishing from peg 6.

PRESIDENTS REPORT:-

The President presented the Kent Pairs Knockout runner up prizes to Alan Yates & John Wells.

TREASURERS REPORT:-

Nett Balance less Competition accounts £999.46p
Pro. J.Gardner..Sec. N.Clarke.

Proposal by D.Simpson Sec. J.Marsh to pay 1999 & 2000 Guernsey Qualifier monies to D.Rowe S.Allmark qualified for this year.

A proposal from D.Simpson and Seconded by T.Hills to hold an Open Guernsey Qualifying Match the winner to go on to fish the final.. A provisional date May 19th 7pm - 11pm £12 entry fee. Catch and Release further details will follow. All clubs are requested to avoid this date with their own fixtures.

LEAGUE SECRETARY'S REPORT :-

Kent Pairs Knockout. Ashford Tackle have withdrawn from the Knockout.

TO BE FISHED BY OCTOBER 8th

Revised 5 man League Dates:-

2 matches still to be decided. Catch and release, any single fish over 40cms will receive a bonus of 10 points

A.O.B.:-

The Committee realize that there have been problems with the Pairs Knockout and accepts responsibility. We are looking to rewrite the rules and would welcome any suggestions that may avoid the problems encountered this year. Anyone wishing to attend the next meeting to discuss the rules is welcome to do so.

The league Secretary is looking for sponsorship for the 5 man league if anyone knows of someone who might be interested please contact the Divisional Secretary.
