Minutes of Meeting held at RMA on Monday 12th February 2001

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:-

MATTERS ARISING:-

Kent Air Ambulance Charity Match to be held on June 10th 2001 10am - 3pm at Sandwich. Entry Fee £10 Optional £5 pool. Book-in D.A.C. 1919 Clubhouse.

So far prizes donated include Penn 525 mag. Relum- ½ kilo Sufix Tritanium. Dam -2 fixed spool reels. Marsh Tackle- Rod Holdall. Seagull Tackle- Rod & Reel.

Hopefully there will be more prizes to come.

PRESIDENTS REPORT:-

On the matter of the proposal by the N.F.S.A. concerning new membership fees for anglers D.Rowe will be holding meetings in the area to explain fully the planned proposal. The meeting will be held at Dover before the A.G.M. on April 28th . All clubs will be notified of date and venue as soon as possible.

2000 Pairs Final Presentation.

Runners up:- Darren Macey & Tom Wells Marsh Tackle Team Relum. Congratulations to both pairs.

TREASURER'S REPORT:-

Nett Balance £1014.71p as at 11th February.

LEAGUE SECRETARY'S REPORT:-

The Knockout has run successfully for many years hopefully the attached amended rules will enable it to run for many more years.

£50 To be awarded to W.D.A.S. & Birchington for being the winning clubs for 1999 & 2000 Pairs Knockout.
The object of making these awards was to try to encourage clubs to enter more pairs into the Knockout as this was not achieved it was decided not to continue making the awards.

The last round of the 5 man league was fished successfully without any problems it was proposed that the rules be carried forward to the 2001 3 man league.

The 2001 5 man league will not be Catch & Release but will be fish in the bucket to be weighed at the end of the competition.

A proposal was made that all Clubs must be affiliated to the S.E.Division to be able to fish the leagues. Pro. N.Marsh Sec. T.Hills.

2) 7th Oct. Sunday H/W 14.24 Seabrook 12.30 -5.30pm

3) 28th Oct Sunday H/W 21.00 Dungeness 5pm- 10pm

4) 11th Nov. Sunday H/W 20.20 Minnis Bay 5.30 - 10.30pm

It was proposed that 5% of entry fees be taken towards expenses from all N.F.S.A. Leagues & Matches.

A.O.B.:-

T.Hills asked the Committee if any used or knew of a system for Catch & Release in Boats As the Varne Boat Club are trying different ways of recording fish so that as many as possible are returned to the Sea alive.

J.Barrett informed the committee that Hillary N.F.S.A. Secretary at Head Office is Getting Married Congratulations and Good Luck wishes are sent from all in the S.E.Division.
