Minutes of Meeting held at Dover Sea Angling Association, Priory Road, Dover on Monday 30th April 2001

PRESENT: -

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: -
As no minutes were produced we will vote for the validity of them at the next meeting.

VICE CHAIRMANS REPORT: -
Congratulations to the Junior Squad for winning the Silver Medal in the World Shore Championships and to Tom Wells for winning individual Gold.
Best Wishes and a speedy recovery are sent to Chris Clarke who is at present in hospital after being injured in an accident. A card and gift to be sent to Chris from the Division.

PRESIDENTS REPORT: -
The N.F.S.A. A.G.M. is to be held in Coventry, four Divisional Officers to attend.

SECRETARY`S REPORT: -

TREASURER`S REPORT: -
Net Balance £701.17p

The Treasurer would like to see more money coming into the Division. Suggestions to raise money for the Division include Opens with a percentage taken from entry fees to go to the Division and Raffles at Opens any other suggestions would be welcome.

LEAGUE SECRETARY`S REPORT: -
Kent Pairs Knock-out has only 15 pairs entering. More advertising needs to be done for next year.

3 Man League has only 3 teams entering at present although Teams may enter at the first match on May 20th. Anyone wishing to fish the matches as Opens can do so if they wish entry is £10 per match.

1 Cash Prize 25% of entry fee other prizes include Penn525 mag, Rod Holdall, Hooks & Line, Rod & Reel, Lantern, Reels

Total length to determine Winners.
All Eels to count 38cms
All Garfish to count 38cms
All other fish must be sizeable to count then measured up.

Wooden Pegs to made by Ray Page.

Raffle prizes to be donated if possible.
1919 D.A.C. & Deal & Walmer to donate prizes.
1919 D.A.C. to be asked to open the bar after the competition.

Phil Tapp brought to the attention of the Division a letter from English Nature concerning conservation at the European marine site from Dungeness to Pett Level. Mr. Tapp to continue to monitor any issues, which may affect anglers.
Neil Marsh told the Division that only 2 Team are to go through to the National Sea League Final instead of 3. To be discussed in full at the next meeting with the Chairman who has the original letter stating that 3 teams go through out of 12.
