Minutes of meeting held at AVS Club Folkestone on Wednesday 17th October 2001

PRESENT:-

MATTERS ARISING:-
1) Cheque in post for 2001 5-man league.
2) Bag Labels, Alans still trying for sponsorship
3) K.O. Finalists not known
4) 5-Man winter league to be run as opens

CHAIRMAN'S REPORT:-
Congratulations to the Ladies England Team who achieved Silver Medal at the World Shore Championships in France and congratulations to the Men on their achievement and to Chris Clark who received individual Bronze.

SECRETARY'S REPORT:-
One new club affiliation Dungeness Angling Association

TREASURER'S REPORT:-
Net Balance £716.17
Pro. J.Gardner Sec. A.Hills.

LEAGUE SECRETARY'S REPORT:-
N.Clarke sent a message saying that he would be resigning as League Secretary due to work commitments.
No other information was available.
It was proposed to ask Steve Allmark if he would like to take up the position as League Secretary.

A.O.B.:-
A discussion was held as to whether the division opened the meetings to Individual Members at present only Delegates from Clubs are able to attend. It was decided that a proposition be put forward at the A.G.M.

Dungeness Angling Association have offered to organize the Charity Open at Dungeness next year and the Charity to benefit from this will be the R.N.L.I.

R.S.P.B. and English Nature have put in a joint lottery bid for a footpath at Dungeness for anglers from the Britannia Pub to the Lighthouse.

A FIXTURE MEETING will be held on Tuesday December 4th would all Clubs please either send a delegate to the meeting or send in their fixtures to the Secretary as soon as possible so that they may be included in the list. This really does help avoid clashes of major competitions.

Meeting closed at 9.15pm

European & All England

The N.F.S.A. was asked by a member if it was possible to organize the running of the European and All England competition.

A meeting was held and Bob Lodge, former Chairman attended, his opinion was that there was not enough support for the organization but if support was found then it would be possible.

A discussion was held and it was proposed that any one wishing to help should contact Joyce Rogers and a meeting set up to discuss the matter in depth.

It was also decided to ask all affiliated clubs to send a representative with their clubs views.

T.Hills proposed, Seconded by J.Gardner, that a sub-committee be set up to see if it was feasible and to talk to various companies and councils regarding Sponsorship. The Sub-Committee are :-

J.Wells

The meeting will be held at the AVS club Folkestone on 3rd December 2001 8pm.
