MINUTES OF
PREVIOUS MEETING:-
Read and agreed as a true record

MATTERS ARISING:-
1) Bag labels will arrive in time for the first League Match
2) K.O. finalists are Kent Police and Birchington the final was held
at Harold Road, Deal and the Kent Police were the winners.
3) Steve Allmark has agreed to become League Secretary but will be
unable to attend all the meetings.
4) Charity Match to be held at Dungeness on March 17th.

1) Cheque from Head Office for £138.25
2) Letter from Snodland Strikers saying they are no longer Affiliated.
3) Letter from Heron A.S. informing the Division of the death of their
Treasurer Mr. B. Bushby our condolences go to his wife and family.

1) J.D.Barrett represented the Division at a function at Southend.
2) The United Kingdom did well at a world games held in Japan.
3) Maureen Cradduck sends her regards to the Division.
4) The unusual fish caught by Peter Godden at the British Open held
recently at Deal has been identified as a Blue Runner a fish normally
caught in the Caribbean.
5) Kent Pairs K.O. starts in April/May any one wishing to enter please

and all England Competition Meeting notes held at the AVS club Folkestone
on 3rd December 2001
PRESENT:-
A.Yates, J.Rogers, J.Gardner, J.Wells, P.Tapp, B.Lodge
Although
the turnout was not as expected it was agreed that the Division would
go ahead with running the competition. It was also decided to change
the Name and format.
The new name will be THE EUROPEAN OPEN and that the top 3 money prizes
would be for the Heaviest Fish, The aggregate weight and the Heaviest
Flat/Round, i.e.: if the heaviest is a round then 3rd prize would
be for the heaviest flat if the heaviest is a flat then 3rd would
be for the heaviest round.
The Competition will have a maximum of 300 entrants all entries will
be taken before the day of the competition no entries to be taken
on the day. Venue will be Hythe/Seabrook there are 2 possible dates
March 23rd 12 - 5pm or March 30th 10 - 4pm . Entry Fee £10 plus
£5 optional pools pool money for section wins.
The competition will be pegged and in the bucket, all late entries
will be double price (closing date to be decided) and will also be
a Penn Qualifier.
Anybody who would like to help with any of the running of the competition
either before or on the day can either contact Alan Yates or Joyce
Rogers or come to the next sub committee meeting on Thursday February
28th at Dover Sea Angling Club, 14 Priory road, Dover.
