Minutes
of Meeting held at Royal Marines Association Club, Deal on 18th July
2002
Before
the meeting started a letter received from Alan Yates was read out
by the Secretary. Alan passes on his Apologies but due to work commitment
he has found it increasingly difficult to give the Division his time
and so feels he should resign as Chairman and allow another more active
member to take his place. The Division would like to thank Alan for
all the work he has done during his years as Chairman.
Thank you Alan.

MATTERS ARISING:-
There has been a lot of confusion over the N.F.S.A insurance, a letter
received from an Affiliated Club states that at the beginning of the
year when Individual Membership was introduced it was understood that
there would be no club insurance and to encourage all club members
to become either IM's or PM's. now the N.F.S.A. has negotiated a new
club insurance.
The N.F.S.A. has now clarified the matter, If a club does not hold
Open Comps. and all its members are either IM's or PM's it does not
need Club Insurance but if a club holds Open Comps it is advisable
to take out club insurance to protect all anglers taking part.
If more information is required please Phone David Rowe on 01364 644643.
When the full policy becomes available the divisional secretary will
hold a copy.
Whitstable
D.A.S. Clubhouse has had a reprieve. The Council has decided not to
demolish it when the redevelopment of the harbour takes place.
PRESIDENTS
REPORT:-
A copy of the Specimen fish sizes has been received and the Divisions
have not been changed although Head Office was notified last year
of the changes that the Division felt were needed. The new sizes are
to be resubmitted to Head Office.
CHAIRMANS
REPORT:-
The free newspaper Sea Angling News contained an article concerning
the AGM stating that the attendance of delegates was poor which seems
to reflect the way in which Sea Angling is going, we need to try to
address the situation to see if we can change matters.
