MINUTES
OF LAST MEETING:-
Read and agreed as a true record.

MATTERS
ARISING:-
Still waiting for a full copy of the Insurance Policy.
The policy only covers boat Anglers for Launch and Recovery but not
whilst fishing.
Child
protection - Some confusion over whether it is mandatory for volunteers
to be vetted by the CRB. Legal advice to be sought.
PRESIDENTS
REPORT:-
The N.F.S.A. South East Division would like to offer their condolences
to the family of Bob Hazel, the chairman of the Southern Division,
who has recently passed away. The President Mr. J. Barrett attended
his funeral.
Mr Barrett attended the recent Standing Committee meeting in London.
It was mentioned that holding the AGM at Buckfastleigh would be to
far for most people to travel.
Three dates are to be set for meetings to be held in London for 2003.
It was confirmed that the N.F.S.A. rules states that during Angling
matches 3 rods may be set up with terminal tackle attached but only
1 may be in the water at a time. Clubs may, if they wish, set their
own ruling on this as long it is made before the start of a competition.
CHAIRMANS
REPORT:-
The chairman was asked how long the ban on Tony Libby would last.
The secretary will contact the legal department of the N.F.S.A to
find out if there is a maximum time that the ban can be in force.
The chairman would like to congratulate M.Smith on becoming the British
Open Champion, J.Rogers on becoming the Ladies British Open Champion
and T.Williamson for becoming the Junior British Open Champion.
Well done.

SECRETARY'S
REPORT:-
The Secretary would like to propose that Mr Alan Yates be made a Life
Vice President of the S.E.Division of the N.F.S.A in gratitude of
all the work he has done for the Division.
Seconded : M.Smith.
The Secretary would like to encourage people who are able to view
the N.F.S.A website where there is all the information needed to enable
clubs to run competitions, read up on Child Protection issues, join
the N.F.S.A as either a individual member or a personal member and
lots of links to other related sites. Web Address is www.nfsa.org.uk

will be no Winter League this year, dates will be decided by next
meeting for matches to be held as opens.
A.O.B:-
AGM to be held on Wednesday January 29th 2003. If anyone has any proposals
for the AGM they must be received by the Secretary by the end of December.
Don't
forget to send details of any fish to be entered into the Specimen
Fish Awards competition to either J.Barrett or J.Rogers by 10th January
2003.
