2004 will be the Centenary year for the N.F.S.A. and the Division
have decided to mark the occasion with a Fun Competition and Barbecue
on the beach at Deal. The reason for it being at Deal is that the
N.F.S.A originally called 'British Sea Angling Society' was born in
Deal. The comp. and BBQ will be open to any one who is either a member
of an affiliated club or is a current Personal or Individual member.
There will be a nominal charge towards the food but the Division is
looking for sponsorship for prizes for the comp.
The price of Sweatshirts and T-Shirts with the NFSA logo on is being
looked into.
A proposal was put forward by the secretary that due to poor attendance
at the divisional meetings they be held every 2 months instead of
6 weekly as they are at present. Seconded by J.Barrett.
The Secretary to ask Head Office for an up to date list of Affiliated
Clubs in the S.E.Division.
It was noted that on the N.F.S.A. web site the numbers of Individual
Members is falling and so are the number of affiliated clubs we must
all try to encourage our clubs and other anglers to become members
of the N.F.S.A so that the federation can continue to be able to fund
and support the areas of our sport that needs it most.
