Conservation

Try and do your bit for conservation of fish stocks and the environment by following a few simple ideas......every little helps

1. Always abide by the minimum landing sizes, try only taking fish well above the size limit. Landing sizes do vary from area to area so check out the sizes for Area G and Area I, which covers this Divisions coast, print them out and take them with you fishing. Alternatively look in your NFSA Diary for minimum fish sizes.

2. Never fish within designated fish nursery areas. It is illegal, so ensure you know the boundaries.

3. Conservation works, so do carefully treat and return undersize fish or fish you don't want to keep whatever size it maybe.

4. Try and encourage your own club to use a points system for competitions. If possible avoid taking dead fish to the scales just to determine heaviest bags.

5. Be a responsible angler, if you have any rubbish, don't discard it, take it home and bin it.
