Yllka Berisha (born 1988
in Laholm, Sweden) won the title of Miss Kosovo
on December 28, 2007. Berisha will now represent
Kosovo at the Top Model of the World 2008
pageant in Egypt on January 18, 2008. She also
expressed hope of Kosovo becoming independent so
she can be the first woman to represent her
country in Miss World 2008 and Miss Universe
2008.
Berisha has earlier came second runner up at the
Miss Albania pageant and first runner up at the
Miss Scandinavia pageant.

Yllka Berisha:
"My name is Yllka Berisha and I'm born in
Prishtina, the beautiful city of Kosova, but I
live in Laholm (Sweden) since I was 2 years old.
I live with my family, my father Avni Berisha
and my mother Burbuqe Berisha, my little sister
and my two little brothers.
I'm 17 years old and I study Natural Science in
High School. In my spare time, I like to read,
dance, sing, travel and be with my friends and
family.
I'm a singer too and I've done two songs and one
music video here in Sweden. My music producer is
Genc Vela (8-blockz) and together we have
written the text for the first song.
I've competed before in Beauty Contests such as
"Miss Scandinavia 2006" in April 2006 and there
I became the first runner up. This gave me the
opportunity to compete in Albania for "Miss
Shqiperia 2006" in June 2006 and was crowned as
the second runner up. Finally, in December 2007
in Kosova, I competed for "Miss Kosova 2007" and
I won!
Since I was a little girl my dream was to become
a beauty queen, and it has become a reality
today thanks to Agnesa Vuthaj Association."
