Being Hypnotised?

How will I be hypnotised?
You will be asked to sit in a comfortable chair and the hypnotherapist will give you suggestions of progressive relaxation in a quiet soothing tone of voice.

What will happen?
At your first consultation a medical history will be taken. A treatment session usually takes around one hour. All information disclosed in a session is kept strictly private and confidential. The suggestions used and the general structure of the session are discussed with you prior to inducing hypnosis, so are any concerns you may have.

Will I reveal personal secrets?
No.Hypnosis may help people to express what they want or need to express but cannot make them reveal secrets against their will.

Will I be conscious?
Under hypnosis people are not unconscious, but in a relaxed state of attention.

Could I be made to do anything against my will?
No. Hypnotic suggestion is only effective when acceptable to the client.
