PROPHETS OF THE FALL

PROPHETS OF THE FALL

Prophets took to the stage with gusto and put in a fine performance, the audience were quite responsive to their blend of Nu Metal, tinged with hardcore and could be a force to be reckoned with by the end of the year.

MINDLAPSE

Mindlapse the other Leicester band have been around for a while and put on a very impressive performance, their brand of Death Metal with a touch of gothic thrown in for good measure and the female vocalist sang and screamed her heart out not to mention the rest of the band who were tight, inventive and impressive, if you see one of their home made CD singles around, grab it, it will be good.

INME

InMe the new Music for Nations are a bit of an unknown quantity but gained a lot of respect tonight with their (Tool meets Lost Prophets in a dark alley way and gives them a good kicking) style. Described as Alternative Metal and with a debut album in the pipelines, you may not hear of them yet but you will, trust me.

SUGARCOMA

So to the headliners Sugarcoma, this spirited young band, likened to Kittie because they are three females in the band are in my mind potentially better then them and they are British. They treated us to the now familiar “Enmity”, “What Comes Around”, several tracks off the first EP and the Britney cover. The Charlotte audience lapped it up and I have a feeling that when their debut for MFN is released in May it will fly out of the shops at quite a rate. Overall this was a fine gig and one that I am glad that I went. If you see any of these bands near your town, you are in for a treat.
