Custom TT with after market front spoiler, front mount intercooler & 19" chromed alloy rims

The Soarer was originally designed in California for the US market and built by Toyota of Japan.

This model was sold in the US as the Lexus SC300 & SC400 (3.0ltr & 4.0ltr).

Available in 3.0L 6cyl, 4.0L V8 Quad Cam & the ultra quick 2.5L Twin Turbo. The TT is closely related to the Toyota Supra and shares many components.

The Soarer was never officially exported to the UK and the majority of UK (and Australian) cars are secondhand personal imports from Japan originally badged as Toyota.

This website is dedicated to the Soarer Twin Turbo but a lot of the information contained here will be applicable to the 4.0L V8 & 3.0L 6cyl models as they share the same basic body & mechanical layout with the 2.5L TT.

One of the major issues we have is that the RHD models where originally built for the Japanese home market so data in English is not readily available, we are only just now scratching the surface as there is so much we do not actually know and every now and then there is a breakthrough or we find that our previous thoughts are actually misconceptions. Is there another 10yr old car on the market about which we know so little, I know more about the workings of Jumbo Jet than I do about the ECU which controls the various functions on a Soarer.

Please Note: As collating and writing this information is a similar effort to writing War & Peace in Japanese there will be a continual process of work in progress or updating of the website I expect before this site is anywhere near completion (it never will be "completed") it will run into hundreds of pages so if you come across a page with nothing but the title this is by design and not an oversight, if you come across a weblink which is dead please let me know and I will attempt to correct it.
