Blue-Siamese line
This line is my personal favourite - I love the subtle shading and warm colour of the seal point siamese, and the cool grey of the blue self. I love blue point siamese cats as well, the cool blue points with the glacier white body colour is truly stunning - and I hope that blue point siamese rats become as popular as their feline counterparts.
My line is based on silvered animals - genetically silvered siamese means that the shading is more even and subtle, as is required in the standard. It's also useful to breed using self coloured (as opposed to siamese) animals, as this tends to darken point colour. The self coloured animals I am using are silver blue and silver black, so I get silver blues, silver blacks, seal point siamese, as well as blue points.
Once I have a blue point siamese, I will still be mating to the other colours, to darken the points and keep the type nice. When I have blue point siamese for sale, I will be looking to sell them to people who will show them, as I would like to see this variety standardised in the future.
