We specialise in blue point siamese and havana (and related) animals, but also have other colours available. In the future we may also have dumbo rats as well. The pages above give details on our breeding aims - we do not breed simply to produce kittens, each litter is to better some aspect of our lines, be that health, temperment, or colour and marking.
Varieties we commonly have available include: blue, seal point siamese, agouti, silver black, mink, and cinnamon. We like our animals to go to homes in pairs if there are no other rats there already - rats are social animals. If you're a first time owner, we will provide you with care and feeding information on your kittens - and we will take any of our babies back at any time in their life if you can't keep them for any reason.
If you're looking for an animal that you would like to breed and/or show, then please tell me. Most of my animals I prefer to go as pets - non-breeding - as there is not a shortage of rats, and so only the very best should be bred. Please mail me if you're looking for a specific variety - even if we don't have it available, we might be able to put you in touch with someone who does.
Welcome to the Hawthorn rattery! We are based in South Shields and Sunderland, North East UK, and breed healthy, well tempered animals for show, pet, and breeding.

Please note that "Hawthorn" is not a registered NFRS stud name, and it is not registered with any other organisation. It is simply a name I have chosen to identify this site and the animals I breed in my rattery.
