The
SSAE
is uniquely fortunate among regional Egyptology Societies
to have its own Members'
Library of books, periodicals and videos.
This is largely as a result of the generosity and foresight
of one of our former members,
Roy Spence,
from Richmond Upon Thames in Surrey. Roy donated his
vast collection of Egypt-related items to the SSAE when
the Society was still in its formative stages. Further additions
to our collection have been made by purchase or from further
members' kind donations from time to time.
The collection comprises books on all aspects
of Egypt, Ancient and Modern; together with videos of a
similarly wide nature. Of particular interest and increasing
value are the video recordings of the Society's own Lectures,
specially-produced for use by those members who were unable
to attend in person.
