The SSAE welcomes New Members irrespective of their level of previous knowledge, range of interest or experience.

Just be enthusiastic and willing to join in!!

We offer 3 types of membership: Full, Family and Associate.

Full Members are entitled to one copy of 'The Scribe' and preferential member rates for trips, day schools and other social events. Each adult member has the right to vote at SSAE meetings.

Our Family Membership scheme offers full voting rights for up to 2 adults and any children under the age of 18 years to attend lectures.

To recognise those people who live too far away to attend lectures regularly, but who might wish to become members and receive copies of our magazine 'The Scribe', the Society now offers an Associate Membership. Associate Members attending a lecture will be liable to pay a Day Membership fee for that event, and shall be treated as a non-member for all other SSAE activities.

Day Memberships are available for anyone who, not being a member of the Society, wishes to attend a lecture as a visitor. Day Memberships are for the duration of that one lecture only.

CURRENT ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION RATES
(with effect from 1 April 2008)


Full (Individual) Membership: £14.00

Family Membership (max 2 Adults and any Children under the age of 18): £21.00

Associate Membership: £10.00

Please Note: For All Initial Applications there is also a One-Off Joining Fee of £5.00

Day Membership of the Society: £3.00 per visit
