"The Scribe" is the Official Newsletter of The Society for the Study of Ancient Egypt.

Ever since the first edition, it has grown into an impressive Ambassador for the work and aims of the Society.

There are articles devoted to current developments and theories in Egyptology, news on events in the U.K. and abroad, together with information for members on Society matters.

Under the expert editorial eyes of Paul Lappage, "The Scribe" is free of charge to all members and is normally published at least four times each year.

"The Scribe Online" aims to give web visitors a flavour of the original magazine, by reproducing some of the articles which have been contributed.
