Planes at Heathrow Airport in the mid 1970`s

another "content over style" web page from Steve Johnson Cyberheritage
During the period we are looking at here, I spent a lot of time flying between England and Europe. When I did this I always tried to take some photos. Well here are some, and I hope they will be of some interest to you, many should print out well.
Most are taken from the public viewing area on the roof of one of the terminals at Heathrow....mostly from the observation roofdeck of the Queen`s Building. I wonder if it is still open to the public, or has the threat of terrorists caused it to be closed? I spent many happy hours here inhaling that lovely sweet smell of burnt aviation fuel on a hot summer day! Ahh..the memories!
