Myself and Scott took a wander down to the south side of the almost enclosed bay that lies to the south of Melbourne. The first photo shows the narrow spit at the "end of the road". Melbourne bay lies to the left of the spit, with Melbourne about 50 miles distant, and the Tasman Sea lies to the right of the spit. There was some sort of army barracks here and we took a breather by sitting on one of the guns they'd forgotten to take away with them after they'd finished.
Views of Melbourne cricket ground - not a bad place to hold a conference dinner!!
Three photos of the college I stayed in the for the three day conference
And three of the trams - taken from up by the University looking towards downtown.
And finally one on the flight back to Christchurch - the bizarre colour of the sea is just as it appeared at the time.
