Napier and Gisborne

 Couple of photos from the flight from Auckland down to Napier. Left is of Lake Rotorua (went there last time!) and the right photo is of Lake Waikaremoana. This was my first view of my next walk.

 My dad used to farm 200 sheep (amongst other things) so seeing this building made me smile. Only in NZ do you get adverts for sheep dip on prime time TV!

 Left = black swan. Right = photo of white fronted terns - these are not at all rare!

 Left = zoomed version of the above. Right is the result of me getting too close!
   Wide-angle view of the Mahia Peninsula.

 On the Mahia Peninsula - two photos of flowers! Actually, the right hand one is, I think, of the Southern Rata - looks something like a moderate sized tree but with loads of flowers tagged on!

 Left = Leaving the peninsula was a slow job as I hit the rush hour!

Right = beach near Opoutama

 Only view of Gisborne - though it was quite a nice town. This was the furthest east I got - within 2 degrees of longitude of the dateline.
