Black Bear

I (along with about 100 other people!) saw this bear. The park ranger said she was quite an old bear and also quite docile - she ended up spending about 2-3 hours eating berries around the Tower Fall car park, seemingly oblivious to the likes of me taking photos from about 25 yards away. Definitely one of the highlights of the holiday - and looking at the Park web site this was one of the best sightings of a bear in my 10 days there - so my luck was definitely in!

As I arrived, the bear was just over the road munching on berries........cue 20 photos in case this was as good as I was going to see!

Not being a shy lady, after about 20 minutes she came down onto the main road....
...and crossed over to the other side where she started to strut her stuff!

And eat more berries - this was the best of the 80(!) photos I took. She was still stood on the same beam as in the previous photo and so I was sat on the tarmac about 25 yards away trying to get some distant background in the shot - just a shame about the blade of grass in front of her face !
