Current Pictures -Garton on the Wold One of the many surprises in this area. St Michael's is of Norman origin (ca 1120). It was restored in 1856 by J L Pearson for Tatton Sykes who reconstructed the south doorway and chancel. In 1872 Tatton Sykes II employed G E Street to furnish the interior, hence the stunning murals by Clayton and Bell. |
