NEW MODEL CAR RACING TRACK
We have already seen Southampton lose its sole model car racing venue (Weston Shore, Southampton) at the end of 1997, due to a housing development being built next to the track.
We want to stop the loss of good tracks and build new purpose built tracks to take the South of England into the next century with confidence.
To build a new track a piece of land the size of a football pitch would be required, it could be possible to consider a smaller space. The site can be of literally any shape as a track can be designed to suit the location. The track must also be at least 500 meters away from nearest residential building and will also require a drivers stand of at least 2 stories.
WE NEED YOUR HELP IN FINDING A SUITABLE SITE!
If you know about any potential site/land for a development of this nature, then we want to hear from you. Even if you do not, spread the word, because a workmate or friend might be able to help us in our search.
WE WILL NEED SPONSORSHIP – WHEN A SITE IS FOUND!
The costs involved in building a permanent tarmac racing track from ground upwards are very high. We want to be able to develop a site, which can cater for national and even international race events. Basically for our aim to be true success, we need all the help we can get.
