Sunflower Research Programme

The Sunflower Trust is a charity set up in 1995 under the philosophy of "Helping Children with Learning Difficulties to Help Themselves".

It is the belief of the Sunflower Trust that "Balanced, well-integrated and healthy children naturally perform better, feel better, achieve more, have a greater sense of self-esteem and get on better with others". Towards this aim they offer the Sunflower Method – a complementary therapy for children with learning difficulties.

The University of Surrey at Roehampton have a long history of educational training and research concerning children with learning difficulties.

Since May 1999, the Sunflower Trust have been in a research partnership with the University of Surrey at Roehampton developing a research strategy to assess the work of the Sunflower Trust.

 The Sunflower Method

The Sunflower practitioners are experienced health professionals. They treat the child as a whole on the basis that our physical and mental systems are closely linked. A Sunflower assessment involves a full assessment of the difficulties a child may be encountering and an initial report of findings.

The Sunflower Method treatment addresses the chemical, neurological, structural and psychological deficiencies in every child.

Each child is treated as an individual.

The treatments and techniques used as part of the

Sunflower Method include:-

Osteopathy

Nutritional Assessment

Homeopathy

Applied Kinesiology

Neuro-linguistic Programming

The Sunflower Method is supported with impressive survey and case history reports from those who have received the Sunflower Method in the past.

However, it is now necessary to move forward and put the Sunflower Method under the scrutiny of an impartial research authority (University of Surrey).
